NASA leader Raila Oding has asked MPs allied to the coalition to guide county assembly debates on the People’s Assembly motion.
The motion, whose debate will start on Thursday, has been dispatched to at least 19 counties controlled by the National Super Alliance.
Raila, who is in the US, wants the parliamentary wing of national resistance movement (NRM) to attend the sessions in solidarity with the MCAs.
He asked the legislators to put off all engagements in Nairobi for the sake of the said task.
“By and large, we are confident that our county assemblies are well-briefed on the motion following our session with the governors.”
In a statement by his spokesman Dennis Onyango, Raila added: "We believe the MCAs will be equal to the task when the motion is tabled.".
He said the support is necessary since the People's Assembly idea is a new territory that requires the input of MPs and Senators.
The motion was unveiled by NASA co-principals Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula on Tuesday.
It has been dispatched to Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, Lamu, Taita Taveta, Tana River, Nairobi, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisumu, and Siaya.
The motion has also been sent to Busia, Kakamega, Bungoma, Vihiga, Kitui, Machakos, Makueni, and Turkana.
It is designed to pass resolutions among them that the August 8 and October 26 presidential elections are all invalid, null and void.
The MCAs are also expected to agree that the government formed and/or president declared from the polls lack constitutional authority or legitimacy to govern.
The assemblies are also set to give credence to the formation of the Peoples Assembly for discussion and determination of the country's affairs.
"They are to recommend a pathway towards and for the achievement of the promise, aspirations, objectives and rights and freedoms provided by the Constitution of Kenya 2010," Onyango said.
The other outcome of the assemblies is to devise a mechanism for the creation of a "truly independent electoral and boundaries commission to hold a fresh presidential election on or before February 9, 2018."
"The action and performance of constitutional commissions including the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, the National Police Service, the National Intelligence Service, the Public Service Commission, the Ethics, and Anti-Corruption Commission and the National Cohesion and Integration Commission shall also be reviewed," Onyango added.
He said this will be for the purpose of ensuring that the said commissions are independent to enable them to protect the sovereignty of the people and to promote constitutionalism.
The people's assemblies will also work to safeguard and promote devolution and the organs and instruments of devolution including county assemblies and county governments.
"They will secure their financial viability and security with the ultimate objective of the creation of larger and autonomous devolved units within one indivisible sovereign nation," Raila's spokesman said in the Wednesday statement.
The teams will also undertake a review of the Constitution to reform the structure of the executive, Parliament, and devolution.
"This will be to reinforce concrete measures for the promotion of inclusivity, the welfare of the marginalised, the advancement of women and youth, the eradication of corruption and poverty and to secure social justice, equality, and fairness."
The call came at a time Parliament took a three-week break to end the deadlock on House committees.
