Bungoma MCA's ready to pass People's Assembly motion

Members of the Bungoma county assembly have said that they will pass the people’s assembly motion once it is bought at the assembly’s floor.
The motion was unveiled by NASA co-principals Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula on Tuesday.
It is designed to pass resolutions among them that the August 8 and October 26 presidential elections are all invalid, null and void.
The motion, whose debate is set to begin today (Thursday), is to be dispatched to at least 19 counties controlled by the National Super Alliance.
Addressing the press on Wednesday, the MCAs drawn from the NASA coalition and the independents said that they are more than ready for the motion.
‘We as NASA MCAs who are the majority in this assembly are ready to pass the motion of formation of people’s assembly as called by our NASA leaders,’ Jack Kaawa (Bokoli ward) said.
Kimaeti ward MCA said that the motion will help "send Jubilee home parking as it has proved to disobey the will of the people".
‘We are going to obey to the maximum all that our leader Raila Odinga has said. We are only waiting for the motion to come and we use our numerical strength to pass it,’ he said.
Bokoli MCA Jack Kawa said that as MCAs they have stated leading residents in their various wards to boycott the products that NASA leaders have urged them to do do.
The people's assemblies will also work to safeguard and promote devolution and the organs and instruments of devolution including county assemblies and county governments.
"They will secure their financial viability and security with the ultimate objective of the creation of larger and autonomous devolved units within one indivisible sovereign nation," Raila's spokesman Denis Onyango said on Wednesday in a statement to newsrooms.
The teams will also undertake a review of the Constitution to reform the structure of the executive, Parliament, and devolution.
"This will be to reinforce concrete measures for the promotion of inclusivity, the welfare of the marginalized, the advancement of women and youth, the eradication of corruption and poverty and to secure social justice, equality, and fairness," Onyango said.
The MCAs also thanked Kitutu Chache residents for having voted back Ford Kenya deputy party leader Richard Onyoka.
Ndivisi ward MCA Martin Wanyonyi who was elected on Independent but moved to Ford Kenya said Kisii’s have shown the World that Ford Kenya party is a party to watch come 2022 politics.
Speaker Emmanuel Situma said that the fate of people’s assembly motion lies squarely in the hands of the members of the county assembly.
The motion is expected to be dispatched on Thursday to Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, Lamu, Taita Taveta, Tana River, Nairobi, Homa Bay, Migori, Kisumu, and Siaya.
It will also be sent to Busia, Kakamega, Bungoma, Vihiga, Kitui, Machakos, Makueni, and Turkana.
