Sodomy suspect lynched in Kibwezi. 

A man suspected to have sodomised a five-year-old boy in Kivuthini village, Kibwezi Sub-county has been lynched by residents.

Kibwezi OCPD Ben Changulo said the suspect was accosted by irate members of the public in a thicket near Muthingiini girls school on Monday night.

"They had already beaten him to death by the time police arrived," he told The Star on phone.

The suspect is said to have ambushed the boy last week on his way home from school.

The middle-aged man, described by local authorities as an ex-convict is said to have disappeared into the bush after the incident, armed with a knife and a catapult.

His remains were moved to Makindu Sub-county hospital mortuary.
