Controversial political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has come to the defence of billionaire businessman Jimi Wanjigi.
In a post on twitter, Ngunyi blasted the police for the force used to lay siege at Wanjigi’s palatial home that lasted for over 24 hours.
Ngunyi stated that the attack on the billionaire was wrong especially under the presence of his children and wife.
Wanjigi was a man on the spotlight after the police raided his home in Muthaiga seeking to arrest him over the seizure of five rifles and 93 bullets from a villa alleged to be his in Malindi.
The raid started on Monday the 16th where a contingent of officers had to use force to gain entry into the multimillion property.
Wanjigi went into hiding as the drama unfolded and re-emerged 72 hours later where he accused the current regime of witch-hunt.
He reiterated that he was innocent and the gun charges were a fabrication over his ties to the National Super Alliance (NASA).
